Our Hospital Investments
We’re dedicated to making quality healthcare accessible for all Australians. Partnering with trusted providers allows us to expand our reach and deliver more care, in more places, to the people who need it most.
iMH is a joint venture between Amplar Health and Aurora Healthcare, which draws on the clinical excellence and hospital operating expertise of Aurora Healthcare, and the health innovation of Amplar Health.
Our iMH hospitals offer accessible private mental health services with flexible care pathways. iMH’s portfolio comprises three mental health hospitals across Canberra (Deakin Private Hospital), Sydney (Hirondelle Private Hospital) and Brisbane (Nundah Private Hospital).
A collaborative venture between Amplar Health and an expert group of medical professionals, we’ve opened Adeney Private Hospital—Australia’s first private hospital to offer eligible customers Medibank’s No Gap program for all services covered by their policy.
Located in the Melbourne suburb of Kew, this hospital aims to provide significant financial relief to eligible customers by ensuring no additional expenses for a broad range of medical services including surgeries, anesthesia, imaging, pathology, medical infusions and prescribed PBS pharmaceuticals.
Our investment in East Sydney Private Hospital supports the hospital and its clinicians to enable a short stay model of care that reduces unnecessary time spent in hospital and allows patients to recuperate in their own home with support from a multidisciplinary team.
The hospital offers a range of no gap services to patients.
The Orthopaedic Institute is a joint venture between Medibank’s Amplar Health and a group of orthopaedic surgeons, with floor space contributed by MQ Health.
Located on a dedicated floor of Macquarie University Hospital, the facility has four state-of-the-art theatres with robotic technology and 29 beds supporting a model that delivers patient care in the optimal setting.
The model combines pre-assessment and pre-habilitation to enhance patient recovery, helping them return home sooner where they receive care in the comfort of their own environment supported by visiting health professionals.
In 2024, Amplar Health partnered with a doctor-led group to acquire Western Hospital in Henley Beach, South Australia.
The investment is part of a broader financial package to support the future of the 50-year-old hospital, including a $3 million government grant over the next two years.
Both private and public patients in Adelaide’s western suburbs are set to benefit, with the joint venture to upgrade the existing hospital to deliver short stay procedures in areas including orthopaedics, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and general surgery.
We’ve been providing a range of health care services for over 30 years, so when you work with Amplar Health, you get a seasoned health partner.
